Weeks 26–27 | Gold Coast Catch-Ups & Christmas Storms

Weeks 26–27 saw us make our way to the Gold Coast, ready to spend Christmas and New Year with friends. It was a couple of weeks filled with delicious food, way too many beverages, and quality time with people we love. While we missed our family, being surrounded by our former Pilbara and east coast family made this time feel really special.

Our East Coast Family

Christmas Day arrived — and so did the storms. A large system rolled through, bringing heavy rain and intense humidity. We later found out that the caravan park we were due to move into in the New Year was hit particularly hard, with widespread damage throughout the park. Our hearts truly go out to everyone affected by the storm.

We didn’t record much during this time, choosing instead to stay present and soak it all in. But we did manage to get out for some delicious lunches, enjoy days out on the boat, and simply have fun with friends — exactly what this time of year is all about.

Sometimes the best memories are the ones you don’t capture on camera.
